Business analysis planning and Monitoring

The Business Analysis Core Concept Mode (BACCM) is a theoretical structure for business investigation. Business analysts can gain deeper understanding of business problems being solved, by applying these BACCM six core concepts. The six core concepts in the BACCM are Change, Need, Solution, Stakeholder, Value, and Context. All these concepts are equally important to be an effective business analyst and helps to understand the information we analyse.

Change- The demonstration of change because of a need. Business analyst do some changes in a work to increase the performance of the company.

Need- A need could be a problem and opportunity for a business or new constraint that imposed.

Solution- By making changes there is need of solution for resolving the issues.

Stakeholder- Stakeholders are grouped based on their relationship to the needs, changes, and solutions.

Value- Company value increases with the profit and decrease with the loses or risk. There are two types of values Tangible and Intangible. Tangible values can be measured like profit, losses and risk etc. Intangible values measured indirectly like Company goodwill and employee’s morale.

Context- The conditions that impact, are affected by, and give comprehension of the change. Context may include attitudes, behaviors, beliefs, competitors, culture, demographics, goals, governments, languages, losses, processes, products, projects, sales, seasons, terminology, technology, weather, and any other element which depends on the changes and its impacts.

KEY TERMS: - Business analysis, Business analysis information, Design, Enterprise’s, Organisation, Plan, Requirement, Risk.


Business Analysis- Business Analysis is a set of tasks and technology which work as a connection between stakeholders. These helps to understand the Company’s structure, policies, and operations.
Business Analysis Information: - Business analysis is a set of information that business analysts use to know the status of the company. Moreover, Business analysis information include Changes, strategies, solution, requirement and scope for organisation.
Design: - The Design is very useful to represent the solution to make it understandable and its effectiveness.
Enterprises: - More then one organisation work together to achieve their common goals is called Enterprises.
Organisation: - An independent group of individuals under the administration of a solitary individual or board, that progresses in the direction of shared objectives and goals.
Plan: - It is a layout of how a business is going to achieve something. A plan involves defining all the key tasks that must be completed within a required time ,the results to ensure the success of business analysis.
Requirement:-  It is understanding of what objectives or needs are to be done to deliver the value.
Risk:-  Risk is any uncertain event or condition that might affect the business. Business analysts along with stakeholders anticipate the risks of future and try to change the specific occurring events that might lead to uncertainty.

STAKEHOLDERS

A stakeholder is someone who shows interest in Business and what the business is doing and can also have influence on it. They participate in the completion of the task and the persons affected by it. They are essential for success of the role of Business Analyst. The possible roles of stakeholders in an organisations are listed below:
  • Business Analyst
  • Customer
  • Domain subject Matter Expert 
  • End User
  • Implementation subject matter expert
  • Operational Support
  • Project Manager
  • Regulator
  • Sponsor
  • Supplier
  • Tester
 A single individual can work on more than one positions. In most of cases, multiple stakeholders' roles will be found in each category.

Requirements and Designs
Business Analysts are responsible for analyzing, validating and managing requirements, which is usually a representation of need. However, they are also requires to define the design at some point, which focuses on solution as requirements are focused on needs.   2. Six core concepts described above are really essential to comprehend the ideology of what is needed to be done by a Business Analyst on a regular basis. These even help to understand the key terms used in business world in a simplified form. Th framework of business analysis as defined by "The Business Analysis Core Concept Model (BACCM) " helps to understand the profession of business analyst and the impact and significance of various concepts in a business.

  3. BACCM Six Core Concept are equally important and all are relating to each other. Like changes in Bell Mts do changes in plans to attract more customers then influence other 5 core concepts. Bell need solution, need, interact with stakeholder and value. Moreover, it helps to understand the data to analyze. Business analysis plays a vital role in connection with shareholder and business analysis gather information for company progress, make strategies, plan and changes. BellMTS shareholders are business analyst, BellMTS customer, domain subject matter expert, end user, implementation subject matter expert, operational support, project manager, regulator, sponsor, supplier.

(BACCM) Business Analysis Core Concept Mode is a conceptual framework for business analysis planning and Monitoring. It has six core concept and which are Change, Need, Solution, Stakeholder, Value, and Context. These concepts helps us to describe the profession and domain of business analysis, communicate about business analysis with a common terminology, evaluate the relationships of key concepts in business analysis. BACCM also helps a business analysts to consider the quality and completeness of the work being done.
